Great entry for the Cumulative Tale Contest. The last verse is my favorite. It's easier to see and hear the rhyme. Good job!

This was very entertaining. I liked your humor, imagery and your fun, easy rhymes. Never heard of a Cumulative Tale, sounds an interesting, and I wish you a lot of luck in the contest.
This is the musical carousel
That played the song of a somber farewell
That made the turtle hide in her shell
So cute.

Dear Mystery Writer,
This topic seems to be one folks are having a hard time understanding. I read through the other entries and several have just missed the whole mark, I think. Yours is one of the few that contained a legitimate cumulative tale and made sense!
Thanks and good luck!

How clever! I really like your poem. I was wondering how you would know when to end it. I guess you could have kept going. Good luck with the contest. I loved the artwork that you used.

This poem could be a perfect little book for children. They would
love the repetition. Your poem reminds me of the book, The Old
Woman who Swallowed a Spider.

Thank you very much for your kind comments and review. I'm glad you liked my rhyme. Yes, "The Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly" is another example of a cumulative rhyme. Thanks again!
