I definitely get this poem! It is exactly how I feel when I visit Donner Lake, where I grew from child to woman and now return as often as I can. It "sings to (your) soul" in a way that is beautiful and soothing and peaceful, and no doubt, inspiring as well. This poem certainly seems like an inspired work and sings to me as well. I loved reading it, and feel like I can relate strongly to your feelings. MM

Thank you for your exceptional rating and thoughtful review.
Donner Lake = Bucket List!
We've been gone a few days as our daughter and son-in-law have been hired here and will be moving back "home" this summer. So we've been on the road helping them out. When we turned into our driveway last evening, a tremendous sense of peace was felt by both my husband and me... Home. Never taken for granted...
Thank you so much!

Good Morning, Jan~
Back from our whilwind trip with daughter and family as they tested the waters of getting hired and moving back home to TC. Wonderful news: they were both hired and will be down the road from us soon! So exciting, but so exhausting! And a bit overwhelming planning the next two months of summer!
Thank you for your exceptional ratingand complimentary review.
There is something truly special about this place; one that none of us takes lightly.
Thank you again!

Thank you, Jan!
We just realized that it's been twenty years since our daughter left "home" to start college, begin her teaching career and married life. Never in our wildest dreams did we ever imagine that she would be able to return - along with our son-in-law and grandson...
Still processing and hoping that the transition is smooth... and filled with laughter! :)
Going to be one heck of a crazy summer! :)

-Very nice images,
presentation, and poem, diane.
-You capture the essence of
this place very well with
effective imagery and rhyme.
-You show the joy and beauty
in springtime with the blooms,
"sweet perfumes," and
"ripened cherries."
-Very good concluding verses, too.

Hello Diane,
This is a lovely poem about God's handiwork especially in the realms of Nature. I am at awe of its beauty. Everything He creates is good, especially the awesome four seasons, "Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer." I love your poem's message of God's healing hands, and your beautiful imagery used was very fitting for your poem message. Well done.

God's handy work is everywhere all we need to do is look around. He's provided so much beauty for us. I don't understand how anybody can deny His presences. Thank you for sharing.

You didn't receive " All time best" for nothing.
"Sweet perfumes emerge
One branch at a time,
And in their presence,
I sense the Divine." - this is just one of the stanza-
Easy breezy read. I love it.
