This poem, Feeling Good in the Rain, seems to tie the theme together with THC and the nice marijuana plants that respond to rain with a leap in growth. Kooky.

Hi Jose! I know you said you don't like the rain and yet you wrote a haiku about the rain. What does the first line mean? Whose hands are descending? And what does the second line mean? Is that a marijuana plant? (Sorry, I am clueless about this stuff.)
Anyway, I liked the alliterative last line. Rising in spirit with the rain is descending is a good picture.

Helen, it's a way to say that the guy is feeling good after lowing his hands to pick the bud off the plant to roll it or smoke it in a pipe. Yes, it is a cannabis plant. :) I hope it doesn't offend you.

It doesn't offend any more than any other kind of smoking. Smoke makes me gag. I'd be out in nature among the trees and suddenly a smoker walks by or a lady with too much perfume and *gag* ! Lol.

Hello my friend, I read your short Haiku and could not make out the meaning. Is that marijuana? I am unfamiliar with it. I wish you good luck in the contest!!

That's a cannabis plant, Melissa. :) I used to enjoy the feeling when I was young. I hope it doesn't offend you.

I am not offended, just didn?t know what type of plant it was for sure. I think cannabis for medicinal use could be a game changer for those with seizures.

Good luck with your entry in the describing something haiku, Jose. It was short but direct and very much to the point. It is a shame that nature can be so cruel at times, droughts in some places, month long rains in another. But I have learned that nature supplies just exactly what is need for each place. I am so glad that with the rain the plants and flowers can grow. Well done, I liked the picture as well.

I'm not quite sure what "rolled or smoked" means here but I understanding the sentiment of rain feeding the plants, I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x
