It is strange that you use the words, "End Times" to describe the age of scientific technology. When it's the Bible that speaks of the End Times as the time of "Signs and Wonders", aka miracles.

I want in this piece to use contemporary language and images of things taking place today to convey a sense of the apocalypse as not something taking place in a distant future but here and now. I think most of Revelations has already taken place. If you continue reading this series you will notice a gradual movement through darkness towards the light, just as happens in Revelations. But all in a modern, contemporary setting. estory

I hope we can agree to disagree. I believe I see a miracle every morning when I get up and a new day begins. Man did not create the day nor does he rule the day- God does. I could go on and on with other examples that I see all around me that The God of the Universe made possible.
Thank you for your thoughts and for giving me a place to sing His praises.

Blessings
Janet

Thanks for the five star review. I think your comments are really on the same page as my feelings about the piece. This is a piece that indicts the faith in science. Science is erasing our faith in God, supplanting it. This is what I want to point out here. estory

For the Christian, it should always be a time for miracles. Jesus hasn't quit being Jesus. The problem is, society as a whole has become more godless, Christless, and fills the need with false Gods and other things. As we near the end of the age, which Jesus promises to be with us until the end, we have many departing the faith. Sad, but true. Thanks for sharing and for speaking up. Blessings as we wait. Stay blessed,
Sal XOs...

Thanks for the excellent review and I think you hit the nail on the head with it. This is exactly what I am trying to say. This chapter is about pointing out that science is erasing our faith in God, supplanting it. But if you continue to read, there will be a movement here gradually from darkness into light, just as there is in Revelations. Jesus is the answer. That will be apparent by the end of Apocalypse. estory

As I was reading I naturally started sympathising with where it was leading, I'm afraid I remain a wanton believer in miracles, not the modern theories that make and females are as "one" in the "same sex" genre. Or that there is no room for variables and indefinables, or in the inconceivable. With God all things are possible...the impossible takes slightly longer. Evolution is mathematically near impossible, and science merely delays the inevitable, but solves little, beautifully written my friend, well done, blessings Roy

Thanks for the excellent review and for the interesting perspective on the piece. I think you got the gist of what I was trying to say in this chapter. Science is erasing our faith in God, supplanting it. And this is not a good thing. All the solutions that come from man are as flawed as he is. estory

I glory in living in the past...my Lord is my Shepherd and my friend...no science will outdo Him...besides He put the minds on earth who program and present all these so-called miracles of modern-day. Very succinct and
to the point...a world without God is called Hell...

Thanks for the excellent review and I think your reply indicates that we are on the same page. Science is erasing our faith in God, supplanting it. And that is leading to Hell. The Hell we are in now. But if you stick with this series, it will move into the light, just as Revelations does. In the end, the answer is Jesus and we will triumph in his triumph and grace. estory

This poem speaks eloquently in a free flow of thoughts about our faith, belief and acceptance of the truth - God, Heaven, Miracles of Heaven; the need of acceptance, appreciation of truths for our own benefit and existence; even today we are not self-dependent; God's presence is as it is since the day of Creation; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. Hello estory.

I agree with you. The scientific miracles you speak of all conform to God's laws. They happen because God is not changing the rules every day to suit a preference. Spiritual miracles occur every day.

You are right about the science. It will not make the world better. The trouble is in the hearts of men, not the science.

Robert

Thanks for the excellent review and the interesting comments on the piece. Basically what I was trying to say here is that science is erasing our faith in God, supplanting it. Science is flawed because it is a man made concept, a perspective of the evidence that takes into account only physical observations, observations in the physical world. estory
