It is a sad thing to see a time in which many have lost their faith in God and will never experience the miracles that God will still preform. May your weekend be blessed.

Thanks for the excellent review and your interesting perspective on the piece. I don't want to live in an age without miracles. But you can see the key words in the public at large all over: 'Trust the science.' 'Trust the vaccine.' Nothing about prayer. estory

You are so right when the age of reason kicks in slowly destroys the human soul. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings and have a blessed day.

Thanks for the excellent review and you nailed it. The age of reason destroys the human soul. That really cuts to the chase. We are wiping away our compassion, our emotions, with all these machines and technology and science. estory

Virtual six-star rating!
You did an exceptional job in the penning of this message.
I found this to be a most thought-provoking read. The Word of God
speaks that many will be falling away from their faith. As a believer,
I still believe in miracles. I am a living witness of what He can do and have done in my life and so many other's lives.
Thanks for sharing your additional views in the author's notes.

Blessings...Portia

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your interesting comments supporting this piece. We are on the same page. What I am trying to do in this series is state in modern terms, in the landscape of our world of today, the movement of the apocalypse. This is not something happening in the distant future, but here and now. Take a look at the previous chapters if you want and stay tuned for the rest. There will be a movement through darkness and this will end in the light, as Revelations does. estory

Hi EStory,

I read this part 7 of your Apocalypse and need to read the other six and all in order. I felt your message here strongly and agree with your author's notes as well. Your words expressed were concise and to the point as a prediction of what we have created. No room for miracles as we live our data driven lives. They may pass us by without taking notice perhaps or if they do occur we may chalk them up as data...

Very interesting!
Best wishes,
Senyai

Thanks for the five star review and your interesting perspective on the piece. I am glad you found it so thought provoking and interesting. This series will move roughly in the same movement as the book of Revelations, through darkness and into the light. So it will brighten eventually. estory

I live with a survivor of 6 heart attacks and flatlining. That's a miracle, though science would never admit it. I fear the next big thing in science. I don't know what it is, but it will change everything. What a wonderfully written and thought-provoking poem. Best of luck with your writing!

Have a great day, and God bless.

Thanks for the exceptional review again, and thanks for the supporting comments. The next thing that is coming is the microchip they will want to put in you. "The beast causes everyone to be marked, on the forehead and the right hand, and those without the mark will not be able to buy or sell." estory

A most thought provoking writing, leaving me not sure if I agree or disagree. I'm pretty sure that earth would have never reached 8 billion population without technologies, chemicals and other inventions which kept us growing. That would mean billions of people would have never known life or love or a sunrise or the birth of a child. On the other hand...

Thanks for your interesting perspective on this piece, I am glad it got so many people thinking. I don't know if technology, chemicals and inventions got us to 8 billion people. They may have produced autism, and other disorders. In my opinion, technology might seem to have made life better, easier, more convenient, but it has hollowed out our soul, erased our compassion, white washed our emotions. It is not a very satisfying life. You get satisfaction from the work you put into life. estory

Is it not possible to believe in science and also true miracles?

Must the two be mutually exclusive?

As an RN I applied science based treatment.

I also rejoiced when a patient's advanced cancer miraculously disappeared! When patients emerged, without medical Intervention , from a coma after a decade...

The best surgeon I had the honor to work with spent an hour in prayer before and after every surgery he performed.

He was well trained. He knew Jesus was the Divine Healer.

Thanks for the excellent review and your really interesting proposal to my thesis. You certainly make the case for miracles of science. I basically believe God can work through people, but the things produced by people are as flawed as we are. He can work independent of that, but only if we have the faith. Faith is the fiber optic cable to God. There is no communication without it, no transfer of power. Jesus said, time and again, after every miracle, "Your faith has made you well." I don't know if the best thing is to trust in science. Science is erasing our faith in God, supplanting it, and that is not a good thing. estory

In my own life I have no issue believing unfailingly in God's miracles...and know they are happening far beyond the limits of mankind's scientific advancements. I've had occasion to know a few exceptional people of medicine... Guess I think God can work through us all...even scientists and doctors...

Loved your take on it as well. Faith is a VERB (as my grandmom always told me)

If we lose money, we lose something. If we lose friends, we lose much. But when we lose faith we lose all. Faith and Prayers are vitamins of life. I enjoyed your thought-provoking poem.. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the interesting reply and review of my piece. you say alot in a small space. Faith is the fiber optic cable to God, without it there is no communication, no transfer of power. Jesus said after every miracle, "Your faith has made you well." I don't know if trusting in science is the best thing. Science is erasing our faith in God, supplanting it. Absolutely.
I believe in God/miracles/Heaven.
While many might put their trust in
scientific evidence...they should bear
in mind that the world we are destroying,
was given to us, beautiful, by God.
It is faith in man that has created
every single problem we have/had.
Love this,
blessings...

Hi estory, I suppose it's all up to the person. Or down to the person, if you wish. We are living through some difficult times, but it's not the first time that a pandemic has hit the world. What is a first is that science have been so quick to come up with a solution? If we all took the jab and learned to live with this, then the sooner we can get back to have our dreams and miracles back in our lives.
I'm sorry you feel so negative about everything. Ulla:)))

I don't know if I feel negative about everything. What I am saying here is that trusting in man made solutions is a flawed premise, just as man is flawed. Science has erased our faith in God, supplanted it. The vaccine will prove to be also a mixed blessing. Probably with side effects, as all these drugs have. I got the shot, not so much for myself, but for all the people around in the world who don't have faith that they will get through it any other way. estory
reply by Ulla on 21-May-2021
Yeah, but with all due respect, I don't think God can help us out this time. India is a prime example. :)))
