Your story is a grim reality of the effect of Corona Virus on all our relationships. Yours was particularly sad, if indeed, this is not fiction, or if fiction, is based at least partly on truth. It's for your character the reader mourns. The more so if the character is you. Anyway, it was an effective chapter in your book, Iza.

I don't think you are on your own here Iza as many people examined their life more closely after spending every waking day and night with the spouses! A poignant write, love Dolly x

A marriage shouldn't be because the government says so, or even because religion says so, but because you say so Iza, Corona has nothing to do with anything dear girl. But of course this could be the way you feel at the moments, well done, blessings Roy

Your telling the truth when you say the virus has opened our eyes to many things that are not good, bad. We will never forget the toll that this virus has caused in health care and people's lives. Thank God there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Oh, oh. Iza, I hope you are joking about this? I know how difficult it can be to be inside a house with the same person 24/7 during these times. We run out of things to talk about, or we are just tired of listening. Hope you find something to get it back. Hugs.

This has some brutal honesty to it. You really lay out there, all these issues that have been heightened and intensified by the pandemic. Problems in your marriage, bitterness towards the whole thing in general that interrupted the life we loved to live, and the frustration with how long it is dragging on. I liked the opening lines, that use of the penpal image to characterize the pandemic a bit. Something coming in on the airwaves, through the mail. Living in close quarters intensifies the problems of relationships, for sure. No escape hatch, no personal space. estory

Good morning, Liz. It's like being sent to your room as a child and told to think about what you did wrong.... except as an adult (we don't like to be honest with ourselves and our personal life until something drastic occurs) we color it... but the stay was longer and we had more time to think... Things become clearer in time! Thoughts are with you, Iza. Smiles, Carol

OUCH! Brilliantly snarky--so clever to cast this as a letter to the Evil C--it sucks about your marriage--you've alluded to your "disappointment" with him a few times before.

This virus (not necessarily Chinese - by the way!) really has caused a lot of stress in families. I hope you and your husband can get to traveling again and having fun and making good memories. That will help.
