You convey immense imagery through such few words! Your haikus are chalked of pure beauty. I look forward to reading more from you, especially when cherry blossoms are involved!

Comment from Gloria ....
This is just divine. The flower moon making the boughs bounce, with a little help from the breeze too I suppose.
Excellent ekphrastic haiku. :))

I liked this.
The artwork, very much Chinese, suit your haiku well. Yes there are two images, very much apart, yet very much together.
Bravo. One of the better ones.
Best wishes.

There is a wonderful sense of lightness and new beginnings beneath May's flower moon here in this Haiku -the essence of the month of May - a time to rejoice

We didn't learn about Haiku format at school (a long time ago) so I am learning a lot from your posts. This one is quite lovely, and lyrical with its alliteration. Thank you.

What a great hand sculpture you've woven here dear Gypsy. You always draw the best illustration with your words. I've pointed out to the sceptics, to look beyond their navel. Well done my friend, blessings Roy

This is a beautiful presentation, Gypsy. The image is perfect for your well thought out words. Yes, May's full moon is known as the ;flower moon,; and you spring haiku showcases that well. Even without a picture, your words create an image for readers. I like the alliteration of b in the last two lines.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

GBR,
A bunch of b-letter alliterations brings a smile to my face. Your selected artwork for your post is exceptional. Thanks for the upcoming Flower Moon alert (-;

In classic haiku we don't use alliteration, but this is a contemporary haiku.
Thank you very much for your review and kind words... Debra.

Hi Gypsy :) Thanks for the explanation - I'm starting to pick up some of the rules of haiku, but there is so much to learn and remember!

No worries, you have the rest of your life to learn :). I have been learning for 8 years and I am still learning. Just enjoy the ride.
