Your free verse poem presents a sensible approach to life. Seeking the unvarnished truth is becoming more and more difficult, but more and more important. You've done well to remind us of this by using interesting language and imagery. I particularly liked the reference to the kaleidoscope.

I'm not a big fan of free verse sounding like an opinion piece as one reads it, but you actually did a splendid job with this. Yes, it read like prose, but it was still poetic, and that's the mark of a good writer. Despite my misgivings about the tone and style, I must rate according to writing expertise. This is excellent.
