I'm amazed at how long you've been keeping up with this series! Almost two years now!
I really like the theme that shines across these works. I can just envision the peaceful life the person lives that notices all of these moments.

I joined fanstory in February 2015. I took a short break for medical reasons.
Thank you very much for your time, kind review, and helpfull feedback.

One can easily envision the grandma or older person touching that teapot in times gone by.
Nice overall presentation for your Senryu.

old teapot waits
for grandma's tender hands --
long after she's gone
To others, this teapot means nothing, but to all who knew her, its value surpasses that of any other object.

M,
Oooohhhh! Bless it. This is a precious poem with a heartfelt message - well, THIS heart felt it, anyway. *smile* Of course, my maternal grandma meant the WORLD to me. Man, I wish I could just go walk right back into her house - exactly like it was - and see her pick up those old familiar things. This one hurt a little. But in a good way. Hugs-

This is an excellent senryu prompting additional contemplation. The picture is a captivating one and makes it easy to visualize grandmothers standing by the stove heating up the teapot. Smiles, Janet

Hello Gypsy :)
I love your senryu. I actually feel for the teapot!
The line 'grandma's tender hands', is just beautiful - a perfect description.
My grandparents had a teapot just like the ones pictured in the artwork. I remember that the lid used to rattle when Grandad would pour the tea, as he had shaky hands... thank you for stirring a fond memory :)
Best wishes as always, Debra

I like the personification you used in this senryu. We can't help but project feelings on to things that we associated with our loved ones. Your poem shows that well.

Thank you very much for your review and kind words, Helen. Have a great weekend!
I was in a car accident today. I only have body pain and bruises.
-
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about the accident. Please take it easy. Take some extra vitamin C and rub some arnica on those bruises. I'll be praying for healing and full insurance coverage!
-
I don't have arnica but I do take vitamins. Thank you!
-
I use arnica often for pain and bruising. If I bump into furniture, I immediate put some arnica gel on it and it doesn't bruise up.

Your poem succeeds in bringing back memories of Grandma making tea with her old pot. We get a sense of how important this ritual was to her (her tender hands). That old pot makes a daughter or granddaughter think of her long after she died.
