Peter Allen has finally laid out to Heather, the reason for his visit. That being her brother Tom, kind of surprises her, but she cooperates willingly to fill in some of the times and why and when they happened. The story is flowing well, as she reveals the somewhat selfish years of her brother Tom.

-That is quite an image for your story,
and description to go with it.
-Allen always has a way of getting
people to open up, and Heather
was willing to do so.
-I think it's because he allows the
other person to take the lead.
-She tells a good story about the
years Allen was interested in, and
painted a good word picture of
what things were like, especially
when she got to the part about
her father, and the threat hanging
over Tom.
-She knew the dynamics of the family
very well and could be objective,
especially since so much time has gone by.
-Now I wonder what kinds of questions
Allen will have, and what it is he wants to know.

Thank you for this review. You have produced a sound analysis of Heather's character here and there will be more to come as gradually the truth emerges.

You are quite welcome, and I look forward to learning the truth. I am glad you liked the analysis of Heather's character. She has been a good one, along with Tommy and the children.

It is good to see Peter firmly ensconsed once again in Jericho farm, and once again trying to wheedle out secrets and memories from the Bache family. I hope he succeeds and finds the answers he is hoping for.

Hi Jim, so the story is unfolding and we get more news all the time. It can't have been easy to live in the shadow of his father and the feeling that he was on probation. Now, will we get some new information, I wonder. As always it's a joy to read. Ulla:)))

PANTYGYNT:

Due to work constraints recently, I have fallen way behind in reviewing my favorite authors. I did read your previous chapter but I did not review it formally so I just keep reading. Peter Allen is quite the investigator without trying to destroy people in the midst of things. I like that about him.

Many thanks for reading and reviewing. I have tried to create in Allen an efficient and yet sympathetic character, so I am particularly grateful for your comment in that direction.

This interesting conversation between Heather and Allen throws some sympathetic light on Tom Jolliffe, and complicates the story somewhat. I like the realistic dialogue and how this story seems to weave together through it, like a discussion of two people sitting in a TV set. It is all very visual really, I could envision this as some kind of TV serial show, like Dowton Abbey or Upstairs Downstairs. estory

Thank you for this positive review and for concentrating on the social climbing aspect which was what caused Tom's fall.

Gripping dialog--I became absorbed into the time travel aspect--fleshes out the piece esp. for the benefit of those whose memories are hazy AND who miissed some of it! Masterful work. Glad to see that Jack is not dead--hope he's not under torture as POW.
