Hi Debra,
I wonder if you've ever scolded him when he brings home the evidence in the camera? Do you have to rub liniment on his bruises? Methinks you probably don't like his hobby much. I know one thing, I've seen some of these trails they bike on... and it's a long ways down! Yikes!
Nicely penned acrostic. Especially these lines,
"Record yourself flying
Over the handlebars..."
You know what Debra Barone says about her hubby... "Idiot!"

Hugs,
Kimbob

Lol! Thanks for the feedback on my poem :)
You're very perceptive, Kimbob - what gave you the impression that I'm not keen on his hobby?!
I don't mind too much, I just worry when he is out for too long...
He had to be airlifted to hospital once when he came off his bike on the moors. It was too far off the beaten track to send a regular ambulance. He broke his ribs (and injured his pride!)
He also took our son to an urban bike park, one time. That didn't end well - Ben (our son) went over the handlebars and ended up with a broken nose and chipped shoulder.
It hasn't put either of them off though!
Bes wishes as always, Debra :)

What a fun acrostic as long as your h husband didn't get hurt. I like how you formatted your poem, Debra. I like the change of font for the first letter of each line and for the word flying. The image is perfect.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Submit this to their ad dept! Before I read the notes, I was wondering why one was supposed to be happy about imminent injury that would be incurred when they go "flying over the handle bars."

Hi Liz :) He never intends to go over the handlebars - but it happens now and then! Not enough to put him off, though!

Debra,

I was already thinking this was a fun camera - until I got to the part about seeing yourself going flying over the handlebars and showing your backsides in glowing full color. I like it!

Thanks!

Debra, this one hurts! I went over the handlebars once and believe me I was glad I landed in a thick patch of grass and not sliding with shorts on the sidewalk! Very good acrostic!

Your last line made me smile! My son-in-law always bicycles to work and he has GoPro. I don't think he has gone over the handlebars but it came in handy in an accident so that the driver who hit him could not deny what she did.

They are really handy for those instances.
To be honest, that's why Shaun has his ;) He has had so many near misses when cycling in traffic.
Thank you so much for your feedback, and the pump x

Yes! And if it works and nobody hacks it to spy on us! Sigh.

GoPro's are fantastic for recording those adventures... Skate boards are fun too - helmets and protective pads at the ready!

Hello, Debra,

I love your succinct Acrostic poem. Your husband camera sounds interesting. Good acrostic poem form. I like the presentation too. The picture your husband took is awesome.

Shaun's not responsible for the awesome pic, unfortunately - it's courtesy of Google!

I had to laugh...riding bikes will never again be on my bucket list. I would go over the handlebars..or through them or something maybe much more disastrous! I find this technology fascinating. Being bedbound for the most part I love seeing pictures and films. Very nicely presented.

I move Tuesday AM to my new jail - which will be much bigger. I get worse and they give me more space - go figger!
