Nice maneuver:) you manage to get yourself a pretty breakfast outside the house, and also keep the young kids happy too. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Thank you... I thought it was an excellent idea at the time. No raw eggs and peanut butter for me, fun for the kids, and payback for dad. Smiles, Carol

It's funny but it seems that peanut butter and my taste buds are not in sink:) I just don't like it:)

This is a beautiful Mother's Day story. Those young ones surprise us all the time. How creatively you got out of eating raw eggs without hurting your child.

Definitely not eating raw eggs... This is a wonderful memory because it was our last mother's day before he passed. He left me with many memories and I am blessed. Smiles, Carol

I loved this story and thought that was a clever way of getting out of the breakfast. Many a Mothers Day I have eaten half cooked eggs and been ill with a stomach ache lol. Thank you for sharing and stay safe.

this was the last Mother's Day before my little guy passed. I am thrilled for each and every memory we shared.... and yes, there was no way I was eating raw eggs. Smiles, Carol

Well, some men don't try hard enough. I call them 'The Alien Chefs'. But,
you sure had the right answer that day. Good for you. And, they lived happily ever after. LOL

Well, not actually. We are great friends, but our lives went separate ways and I found my love with Mike (the Lord blessed me even if it wasn't forever). Thanks for the kind review. Have a great day, Ralf.

I did wonder.

A sweet one, dear Carol. I miss those early days with homemade cards and breakfast in bed with sticky kisses. What wonderful memories of those days this brought back. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day and new memories to add.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs...

Thanks, Sally...Though raw eggs and peanut butter toast with pieces of blue napkin didn't seem too appetizing back then. I am thankful I have the memories though since I can't make any more with my sweet boy. Have a great day! Smiles, Carol

So clever of you! That's the perfect plan and a lot less clean up than if the raw egg ended up on your husband's head. Thanks for the fun memories, Carol. Hope the eggs made it safely into an omelet later. Lol.

Dear BA, As usual, mommies always arrive at a good solution; and you are certainly no exception.
How very clever of you to think of a place that any child would prefer, over seeing you eat his eggs.

Actually, I wasn't sure at the time if he would, but I certainly was praying that he was hungry too and would like to play on the jungle gym. Thank goodness I was right.

This is a fun Mother's Day story, and a wonderful memory of your children when they were young. I enjoyed it, especially the way you got out of having to eat the eggs. Nice save! Blessings. Carol

Oh, I can still see those raw eggs and it was forty years ago...especially the white slime dripping over the edge. Yuck! thank heavens we got to go out! Smiles, Carol
-
That was fast thinking on your part. Have a delightful day. Carol

that was 40 years ago... the brain has slowed down since then...LOL

Ha! Breakfast in bed is relaxing, indulgent, considerate, and demonstrative, but only in fiction. "Let's show mom how much we love and appreciate her," turns into a kitchen that looks like a victim of a hurricane, sheets that need special laundering, and often hunger, to boot. But, in the end, it's the thought that counts. You captured the moment. Excellent.

thanks, Webb... Mikey is the little boy I lost and he was always doing something out of the norm. He had a lot of living to do in the four short years he was alive. He left me many memories and I thank the Lord every day for them. You are far too kind with your review and the stars. Thanks! smiles as always, Carol

What a sweet Mother's Day story. I could literally see the whole scene played out. Also a nice save at the end. Breakfast out on Hubby's dollar and she got out of eating raw eggs...ooooooo
Thanks for sharing this little piece of Mommy/child interaction.

Good morning, Patty... Yes, raw eggs wouldn't do at all. And having Mother's Day on hubby's dollar was a present in its self. LOL Amiles and thank you, Carol
