Jaybird, this is such an uplifting poem, and the advice you give is stellar. Life lessons in a poem aren't easy to write, but you did a fine job in describing the allure of a walk, and the benefits for all. Yes, be kind. Yes, get that peaceful time to yourself as you walk in nature's bounty. Well done and well said.

What a delightful poem. I love the sense of well being that you offer in this poem and the wisdom with which you speak. I'm sorry to hear you can no longer enjoy one of life's pleasures. I too am less able to get out and around like I would like to do to arthritic knees. I hope to get that fixed soon though. I hope your neighbors bless you with a visit. Have a great evening.
