What a perfect, sweet little poem. Now I have to go look up a recipe for Melktert. It looks a little like flan... I wonder what it tastes like.
Have a great weekend.

Thanks, have a great weekend too :)
I found a recipe on feastandwest.com - I'm looking forward to making it.

-It looks like a very
temping dessert, Debra.
-The picture and description
make me want to have some.
-Effective imagery and rhyme,
especially "delicate, decadent treat."
-I enjoyed the poem, but would
also enjoy a piece of this pie!

Thanks so much, Pam :)
I can't wait to make it just so I can see how it tastes!
Enjoy your weekend, best wishes as always, Debra

It looks delicious. You will have to give an update after you make it. It could be a list item:) You have a good weekend, too. It has been chilly and dreary in NJ considering the time of year.

Yeah, I didn't want to give you five stars for this. It's a poem about a desert, after all. Though this is part of the prompt, I still couldn't find myself with a five-star feeling for any of these pieces. However, you did a really good job with a terrible prompt (in my opinion, it's a terrible prompt.) The cadence and the imagery it evokes - even without the photo - speaks of quality work. I could never pull this off. Kudos to you and your talent.

Sounds like a particularly tasty treat. Then again, I've always been a 'pie-man'. Your poem brings water to my mouth. I hope your recipe turns out to be as good as it sounds.
Peace, Lee
