Dear Sally
It's so kind of you to take special requests. Revived memories of a radio programme back in the day in my country of birth, Guyana. It was called Birthday Requests. Young girls would listen breathless, hoping boyfriends ( or secret admirers) would request a special song for their birthdays!
I'm not a particular fan of Ricky Nelson but I knew his hit records, Poor Little Fool comes to mind.

As I usually do, I enjoyed the music you play. I remember the Ozzie and Harriet show and the the boys. He did change his style over time. I liked some earlier music better but I learned to like Garden Party.

I can't really speak about the TV show as I didn't watch it, but I love the song. It seemed almost like a protest song to my young ears. Wasn't he killed in a plane crash? He was a talented singer. Thank you for sharing this brilliant series. :)
