I like this poem especially you start with: "Where I come from, I have known since my birth Mother and Dad created me..." I agree people should remember the "source." We should thank our parents for bring us tooth's world. Mother and Father's days are coming. Good opportunity to show our thanks.
I like how you end you poem; "...to stop being selfish."

I thought I had landed on my favorite stanza, but kept changing my mind as I read and reread this inspiring poem. So to say I have a favorite would not be true. I found I gleaned special meaning from each and every stanza. Thank you for sharing!

This should have been a contest entry. It rhymes. makes sense, is spiritual, and it touches the reader emotionally. I don't say this often but I wish I'd written this poem. Very nice job.

It is in human nature to think of self first I think, but then, to realize there is so much more than self as we follow our heavenly calling. Great message!
