Excellent poem -eloquent and heartfelt. I can tell you've learned from your own past and truly understand the value of learning through our mistakes.
By the way, I love your profile pic with that beautiful baby!
Thank you for sharing,
Susan

I would say, I'm thankful for the connection! If a piece has beautiful structure and exquisite words but misses the mark of connection, there is no impact. I write for impact! That picture was taken the night before my daughter got married. The baby was my son's now twelve-year-old twin daughter who was a flower girl, along with her sister. Thank you for reading and reviewing. Thanks for the four stars that you gave me.

Oh, I didn't mean to give it 4 stars. I just went back and made it 5
-
I thank you for the five Glorious stars!

IT WAS 5 STARS - I MUST HAVE HIT THE WRONG BUTTON - SORRY!
The author's words are engaging, meaningful, strong and creative. The statement the author notes - is clear! The poem flows and connects
well and it reminds us to think before we act. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork compliments these words well.

It's good to know my words were engaging, meaningful, strong, and creative. Most of all, I would say, I'm thankful for the connection! Thanks for the four stars that you gave me.

This poem conveys a clear and powerful message, encouraging the reader to see the value of our memories as an opportunity for learning. The directive is well incorporated in this rhyming poem. The image that accompanies the piece, together with its title , enhance its presentation. Nicely done.

In the beginning of life. we take things for granted and feel it will all turn out right and everything will be for the best. As we age, because we have learned that all does not go as planned or desired, we take the time to be more cautious before leaping. Nicely written. Smiles, Carol

We all love a good trip down memory lane. Sometimes all it takes is a familiar scene, a smell or a certain taste to evoke an old memory. So, if we want to have happy memories, we must start making them. I enjoyed your beautifully rhyming poem. Good luck in the contest!

Hi there, so true what you're saying. Throughout our life we accumulate experience.some good some bad. I hope mostly good. But it's all there to formulate who we are. A thoughtful poem I really enjoyed. Ulla:)))

I like the picture. It is a cute one and matches what the poem says.
This poem meets the rhyming requirement and you have done a great job.
I like the opening paragraph: "Life is full of our memories.
Some of them we cherish as great. Many will come unattended,
while others are moments we hate." It is true that life has ups and downs. Whatever happens, let the pass be the past. Only keep the good memories, the others are lessons learned.
Thanks for sharing.

Well written, well said. Life is a journey and mistakes in the past can be righted. Karma comes into the picture. Memories are the building blocks for our future adventures. I liked your look before you leap. As we age we do look, the young just jump! K xx
