I agree with you that many memories should be filed away as instruction, but there are also many that are simply emotional. I enjoyed your poem as you talk about learning from our memories, they are there for a reason, and we must accept that and enjoy what we get from them. We learn from our mistakes, we build up confidence with the help of our past and good relations with family and friends. These things make us what we are today. I like the comment in your Author's Notes - very wise. It summarizes the the poem very well. Our memories do direct our paths, and they are often clouded by the accompanying emotion. To learn and grow from them is more objective. Well written.

This is a great philosophy poem! So many of us just charge in all directions and never stop to think of the consequences. This artwork is apropos to your subject. Personally, I shudder when I see divers doling this blatant activity so recklessly. My mind sees below the water and finds so many dangers. Very fine work!!
