This poem smacked my face with a wet mop of reality. Spitting grimy suds as I sputter, mesmerized, a complete stranger could know me so well. LOL. Dying truly is the easiest part of living, for those who linger in torment to find the escape to where and whatever. As I've often said, I spent my whole life chasing all the things I thought were important, while missing out on all the things that truly should have been. Thanks for sharing.

Writers use every trick in their tool kits to reach and keep us coming back for more. Although, extremely well written, it's your openness and honesty that overwhelms me. It's a pleasure to read your work.

Hi Meia, wanted to wait until I got a six to review you my beautiful friend...

I guess I look at my life sweet girl...and
no matter good or bad...like it or not...it
made me who I am today...and I haven't died yet...
even though there were times I wished I had...
but with Gods help I got through...but what I do believe... death heaven is the place I want to end up at...a great place to be...

as far as catching love...unless it is a true love...
it's not worth losing my breath for...sigh...

I love your poem sweet you...and love the picture...
so very well written...much love...Linda xxoo

This poem is very deep. It shows a deep longing to understand some of the mysteries of life, love and the act of surviving. As a man of some advanced age, (78 years and counting) life hurts more than death because, at death everything is halted, no more pain, no more pleasure. No more anything. Meanwhile life will continue to sting you until the final sting, resulting in death.

This poem has a sadness in it, but also a truth about life, death, disappointment. Many go through life chasing dreams that won't come through, experience pain and heartbreak. Still, life is worth living in my humble opinion. This is a thought provoking and extremely well written piece. Thank you for sharing.

Because we don't know the timing of our own death, it is not something we should worry about. It is far better to concentrate on living each moment as if it is our last. Our final destination is unpredictable and we always hope it is painless, fine words here Maia, delivered with elegance, love Dolly x

Correction of punctuation is necessary. A sad reflection is noted in this poem. Positivity would make it lighter and leave the reader with a brighter countenance. The author's intention is nevertheless respected.

Thankyou Bonnie, I really appreciate the feedback and would appreciate any punctuation mistake 'corrections' however the tone of sadness is very much part of the poem and a true reflection of my feelings. If it leaves the reader feeling sad it would have that in common with many other poems, and I would not be looking to change that as it is intended to show distress at a world void of truth and meaning. kindest regards Meia :)
