I like the rhyme and meter of the poem. You completed the poem with a first and last statement according to the instructions. The story is quite well told and complete with the last line closing the action of the maid.

Thank you. I think those times were so romantic. It seems there's little romance in young people these days.

What a delightful poem. It's been many years ago that I met my wife, and from the first time I saw her, I knew that I would marry her. We've been through thick and thin, but after forty nine years we're still together and enjoying each other. Love is a wonderful thing. Nothing sets the heart to beating like seeing someone you love. Congratulations on a great poem.
