Hi Katharine :)
I really enjoyed this - you tickled my funny bone!
Thanks for sharing the 'sloth information'... I'll be sure to share it at an appropriate moment!
Good luck with the catch-up... I've everything crossed you make the deadline.
Best wishes as always, Debra :)

    thanks, Debra
I appreciate your help and wish you the best in the contest. I still have three to go, so doubt I'll make it - but it's been fun, and quite a challenge.

Well done! This was a funny poem. I'm amazed that sloth's can move so slow. I had no idea that they gave birth hanging from the tree. I learn so much on this site. This fellow doesn't look very comfortable, but what do I know? Have a great evening.

This information regarding a sloth is not something I need to know but it is something that will be added to the file in my brain that collects information that may be needed later. LOL

laughing!! I wrote a bunch of stories for children about lot of animals and the sloth was one of them. I didn't say she was in pain, just that she had her babies hanging from a limb. can you imagine the thoughts going through kids' heads?

A fun post. You are not slothful. Great work and all the best in the contest. I didn't know that about the sloths giving birth hanging from tree limbs. Doing what comes naturally, I suppose. Great rhyme in this one. By the by, I just listened to Tim Scott's speech that I recorded. It was tremendous, and his delivery was outstanding, too. It's a shame he's received so much flack from the Democrats. Maybe they feel threatened. judi

Hahaha! I love it! A slothful sloth! Very funny that you compared yourself to that mellow fellow. And just because you are a few poems behind! You have about 36 whole hours to finish them, and haiku is not cheating. LOL I wrote one for tomorrow poem!

Susan, one FS gal said it went to May 2nd???

I just looked at the rules, and in one paragraph it says all poems need to be done April 30, but below that, it shows a deadline of May 2. So I don't know which is correct.

well, if it's tomorrow, I'm sunk.
    thanks

I laughed at this. Sloths are cool. I didn't know they gave birth hanging from tree limbs. I enjoyed this very much, I would have given you 6 stars but I ran out of them.

Haha, been there and done that, Pome Lover. Those day to day poems seem to never end--just as soon as you finish one, it's time to do another one. I enjoyed this fun poem. Your picture plus references to sloths is great. No one doing the poem a day challenge has time to even think sloth about themselves. Your lines read well, the rhymes are great, and your message is clear.

WooHoo! The calendar says ONE more day.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Jan, what a delightful review! A gal who is also in it said we have until the 2nd, but I'd better check on that. I am behind and need to catch up. When I signed up for this I didn't think about having to promote every day!!!! Lesson learned!
    Anyway thanks very much!
