Too bad hearts don't have Wi-Fi. If ever a mass mailing to "Reply All" has existed, this is it. We're caught in a cycle where we are planning our opposing argument without an honest attempt to listen. To HEAR! There is no possibility of tranquility when the goal becomes "winning"--not " improving."
I hear you. I will do better...

"Resurrection comes when we wake
Create one day is what we'll do
Are we to give or will we take
The real answer is up to you"
Yes indeed!
It takes mindfulness to live one day at a time. Or rather one moment at a time.
Excellent poem
Stay safe healthy and blessed

CO,
Oh. My. Stars. This poem is amazing. It is rare to read so much raw, brutal, tragic honesty here. I admire your willingness to bleed on the page for all to see. I am sorry for your pain - but I KNOW YOU KNOW we all go through this to some extent. Some more than others - especially those of us with mental conditions (that's me - I'm not talking about you.)
What I hope I understood in the latter lines is you saying that in the end, WE are in charge. We are able finally to let the past go - if we're smart enough to just put it down like a rabid dog.
We don't own tomorrow and may never.
All we have is today. One of my fav Bible verses says 'God's mercies are fresh every morning.' I wonder if you can guess why I love that?
This was powerful and real and I appreciated it. Sending hugs-
