You are using several literary techniques. Your alliteration with your allusion will draw the reader in. The personification accentuates the cruelty we are experiencing at the hands of Covid. Well expressed.

What have we done to deserve this fun? That's a good question you pose in your Pix This Club, poem and a good interpretation for this picture. I like the old bubble bubble toil and trouble to open with.
cheers,
valda

You have done a great job interpreting this artwork! It's relevant and so true! As much as we feel some relief right now - it still is wise to follow the rules and stay in our bubbles a little longer. I know I will - too many ot there willing to endanger others...

You did a great job, Aussie, with your picture this challenge poem. I like how you started your poem with that quote from Shakespeare. I like how you ended it, too referencing the bubble. Your lines flow smoothly with good rhymes and a good little story that is so current. Your words are well-chosen and are filled with great imagery. You are right we can't outrun toil and trouble.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

You have written an excellent poem about Covid. It is like living in a bubble. You have a strong steady beat and a use of words that is very rhythmic. Excellent poem for our times.

This is a fun poem that speaks truth. My favorite lines are, Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble," and "Wear your mask, stay away...Will it ever let us play?" I love your description of our circumstance as being in a bubble. Your bubble artwork pairs perfectly with your poem. Well done.

This was absolutely great, Kace. I enjoyed the picture of the different bubbles and your words captured the frustrations we each feel. Unfortunately no one can outrun covid but as your last line says 'just pray and stay in your bubble'. Very well done.

Hello my friend, I thought to make it light, there is too much gloom and doom around. I believe it's going to get worse. Just look at India.
All of this was forecast in the Bible, now it is moving at speed. Love, Kay XX

So funny, Kace. I loved the beginning and the implication that everything is in an upheaval and only churning on and on... never settling down. A wonderful and amusing take on COVID!!

There are so many aspects of this poem that I love, Aussie. Particularly, I like the idea that we stay in our bubble and pray. What else is there to do? It is exactly like we are in grade school with the teacher telling us to stay in our seats. But, when we play, we pay. All of your ideas are so true. It's a dilemma, but what is to be done about it. Best stay in our bubble.
Glad I read this one. You stay in and stay safe.

Hello Debbie, The Bible forecast fires, floods, famine and plagues. All we really can do is pray. I wanted to make you smile with this one. Love, Kay XX

Hello Kace, this is so well written, full of truths but with added humour. We certainly need more of that. I'm sick of TV showing us people having jabs. The pictures of India are horrific. They cannot stay in their bubble - so overcrowded and so many dying, wrapped in white and burning in the streets on wood piles. How lucky we are by comparison. It's a horror we never expected to see, except in horror movies. Great to hear from you - stay safe and keep smiling. Love Dorothy xx

Hello Dorothy, I wanted to cheer readers up. We can't out run it. The Bible told us about these events, thank goodness we have the Lord. Yes, my heart goes out to India. Imagine if you had to watch your mum die and then cremate her. Unbelievable sorrow. You and I are in affluent Christian countries, still there are things happening here; youths on the streets, murders, women bashed and set alight.
I wouldn't matter what you believed, our eyes don't deceive us. Chaos reigns supreme in a world without a dream. Take care, Love, Kay XX :-)
