Wow.
I wondered if this was true, then I
read your notes.
Wow.
I'll bet you really hate that movie
'The Birds'...all too real.
I can never tell Ravens, Blackbirds,
Crows and Starlings apart.
Wonderful telling Miss Alicia!!
Sorry you went through this!!
Blessings...

This poem actually didn't have anything to do with the movie or movie star. I met Tippi Hedren about 5 years. Actually, I attended a local library event. Tippi hated Alfred Hitchcock. The scene was real. Not the least bit digitally remastered. If you ever visit Southern California, Tippi owns a Tiger Sanctuary in Acton.
Thank you
Stay safe and strong :)

Wow, so awesome that you met her! We have Mockingbirds this time of year, that try to nest under our deck, then try to swoop and attack us. Silly birds! Happy Saturday!!!

Great job with your poem. It reads really well with the verses flowing. The repetition puts emphasis on the ideas which continue to unfurl. I am sorry you had a bad experience with the ravens. Overall a fine poem. Keep up the good work!

What a strange and painful occurrence. At about this time of year when we are lambing on the farm. These birds will attack sleeping lambs, believing hem dead. They go for the eyes first.. Maybe, when you threw yourself on the ground the birds thought you were dead
I hink this could be a typo:
'wickest' ??? Did you mean wickedest?

I knew they were naturally wicked birds. Good find for an edit. Thank you :)

What a scary experience! I wonder why the postal workers didn't check up on you. Those ravens can do some damage. Their beaks are quite sharp. Thanks for sharing. It's not just like Edgar Allan Poe's mysterious raven, those are gangster ravens!
Typo:
The wickest raven is weaving into my face (wicked? Or wickedest? )

You did a great job with the vivid and scary event that prompted this poem, Alicia. I could see everything you mentioned and feel the intensity of the attack by the birds. I understand why you don't like crows and ravens to this day. We have neither here, but do have grackles. As far as I know they are just big, black noisy birds--don't believe they harm people. They fly off quickly when surprised by them.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Well, I believe that was a tough day. You have given us two birdseye views, one of a raven or three, and one of the poor poet who intersected life with the ravens. There were two perspectives offered and one championed: Yours. I'm with you. Thanks for sharing.
