Great use of r-, c-, and b-word alliteration throughout the poem and I liked your "red carpet" word play. These beautiful flowers do provide that sense of honor like a red carpet.

Sunni,
Break all the rules of haiku if they turn out like this one.
Yup! Using "red" twice works well. Your satori is better
than the Oscar event itself.
Gorgeous picture and wonderful haiku. Sorry you had
a bad night. Maybe that will be part of tomorrows poem.

Your picture is beautiful, Alicia. I enjoyed reading and reviewing your poem. For it to be a haiku, lines 1 & 2 need to be grammatically connected with a present tense (best choice) verb. Your satori--line 3 works well. Maybe line 2 could read something like
burst with autumnal color.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Hi Jan! I thought each line was individual in a haiku like stanzas in sonnets. I'll look into it. I appreciate the edit note. Thank you. Hearts & hugs, Alicia (aka Sunnilicious)

Nice job with your haiku. The photo is beautiful and matches well with the font color. Really like the alliteration. It speaks of nature in a great way. Love the 'red carpet worthy' part. Bravo!

I think chrysanthemums--all colors--symbolize fall beautifully. Your poem and photo combo definitely SHOW why they are "red carpet worthy." I like the double use of "red" and your alliteration. Rod
