We live on the coast of New England and seagulls are fixtures on the seashore. I love seeing and hearing them in the summer. I can relate to this piece.

The gulls are coming back to Duluth Mn as well. They are indeed scavengers, and a city ordinance was passed here that outlaws feeding them. Everyone still does though. Best of luck in the contest. :)

The first two lines of this poem flow and connect well. The last line
puts the poem together. I remember the gulls in Montauk Point when
I used to camp there. These words brought back memories for me.
The artwork is great and compliments these words.

They often eat our left over food and will only eat food we have tasted first as they they know it is edible. The beach provides lots of pickings for these birds, much enjoyed, love Dolly x
