Oh I do so love mangos, and usually buy a box once a year, and then find it's a couple too many for me to eat before they spoil.
I really enjoy the unique flavour of this piece, and the five/seven/five at the end is the cheesecake.
Excellent post.

Mango season just started here. I see it fresh, but not much other ways. I actually made a salsa that was great. Thank you :)

This poem, My Mango Poem, set up in two sestets and a haiku, tells a little bit about the mango and how it was used in your family. Interesting.

I tried to write a sonnet. Mangos are too tropical. Thank you :)

I liked your memory of enjoying mangoes in childhood. It really is a versatile fruit that can be cooked or pickled or eaten fresh. Some people are allergic to the skin.
I wondered why you chose this picture of a man roasting corn?

It's a natural foodie pic. I couldn't find a mango pic. Thank you. Xoxo :)

I've never heard of mango cheesecake--how interesting. Was it delicious, Alicia? I enjoyed reading your mango poem. Your lines read well with good rhymes, smooth flow, great image, and great imagery.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Mango is alright. I think they added lemon or lime in the cheesecake. Thank you. Hearts and hugs :)
