When I think of earth day, I think of marine life. So often, marine life is overlooked, it's not a "hot topic", or politically dramatic, but without it we wouldn't have an earth, or an earth day. Your haiku is captivating. I can hear & see the beautiful display of a love song. With just a few words, you created an image of wonder for my mind.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! Living on the coast of New England, we can appreciate them every summer when they return to our waters.

The author uses words to paint the plight of animals in the oceans. Dolphins speak with each other and cry out in pain. I love the alliteration. It enhances poetry. Thank you and may you have success

This is a lovely and alliterative haiku. Growing up, we learned so much about the plight of the whales and thankfully some of them have come back in numbers. Great choice to focus on for your Earth Day poem!

This haiku sounds lovely to say. It is alliterative with the "s" sounds including, "songs," "sapphire," and the perfect last line, "soulful symphony." These beautiful creatures sing longer songs each year, as they pass through a portion of the water, that is much larger, than we can ever, imagine. I have gone whale watching myself and enjoyed very much, seeing the gray whales pass near the water vessel we were in.
Thank you for writing about the wonderful whales on this Earth Day!
Have a great evening,
Jesse

I am so glad this haiku resonated with you! Whales are gentle giants that are highly intelligent and more interactive then we realize. They deserve our respect as they roam the oceans with grace and dgnity.

Yes, the whales do deserve our respect and dignity.
    Have a nice evening,
