The picture is a little bit scary. But it follows the poem and tells a story. "The witch shakes and tosses a bag of bones...
Bones, shells and curios fall to observe ones' life..."

A witch claims she knows the past, the resent and predicts the future as you said in the poem: "The Past is done,
The Present is now, And the Future has been won..."

This is a well written poem

I must admit I've never even heard of bone reading, it's not really my cup of tea, or is that a piece of cake? You're doing extremely well dear Alicia, onward to 30 days, well done, blessings Roy

This is very interesting, especially since I recently wrote an article about voodoo for Vocal Media. Not quite the same but still unusual. I like it. You did a good job.

That sounds like a scary event. Thanks for describing it. I like your poem and the well done phrases like "modern ways for this ancient art;" "A doll worries," and " amethyst stone will calm those cries." These make these things come alive.

Hi Helen! Those pieces weren't in my reading. However, I they seem to be safe with its symbolism, from okay to good to great, depending on the individuals' personal reading. Thank you :)

This is an interesting theme for your poem, Alicia. I enjoyed reading and reviewing it. I have never heard of this practice, but it does sound like fortune telling. I like the way you described the 'things' that told your fortune. Good job and best wishes on the remainder of your poems for the project.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Death! It's universal. When a life passes on, we all want to show our love, appreciation, celebration, saddness and respect for that loss of life. Across all cultures, it's the same.
