I really enjoyed this 3-liner! Backroad bliss is such a valid statement, isn't it? The poem as a whole flowed well and made sense. Well done!

hello
this is a good wee poem...though now I have an ear worm of John Denver's Country roads...geez.
Vut your poem has that whistfulness that sits inmany of us who live away from our homeland.

I like your rhyme of "bliss" with "reminisce." There's something magical about the wind that can make us remember. I like that you say that it's the "pine air" which gives us the scent of pine, bringing memories. Best wishes in the contest!

I grew up in Michigan out in the country. I saw many wild Tiger Lilies and always loved them. Nothing is more beautiful. We also saw Jack in the Pulpit and the simplest Daisy's, in white and yellow; also so beautiful in their own way. I am happy you chose this to remind me of the simple beauty of natures. Beautiful work!

Jack in the pulpit I remember and Lady's slipper.
A guy thinned out my forest a couple years ago, so I am looking forward to some pretty forest flowers if I can ever get back to Vermont haha..
Thanks for the review, cheers, j

Your words put me right there ... driving along with the top down, feeling the wind blow through my hair and inhaling that sweet country air. Nicely done. Smiles, Carol

My son does the same thing. He prefers less traffic and more scenery to enjoy. Smiles, Carol
