Lots of information here! Things I'd never thought to parse out in all my many comings and goings over the years! It's a tough decision. I tend to review a ton, gather promotional money and promote heavily--which leads to me posting much less! (But gives me more feedback)--
I've often wondered if I wouldn't be better off just posting when the muse descends and gathering whatever my two cents will bring me.
The one thing I've learned (by way of recent recognition)--is there are a TON of awesome writers on here! MUCH more deserving and with MUCH more skill than I could ever hope to have...
So happy as I am to be recognized as a writer of the month or whatever... I am well aware that some calculations that are beyond my math skills went into it...and in no way reflect the skill-set I do NOT have...
I learn so much more from reviewing! I think I've improved a bit over the years... Sometimes, quite frankly, my effort is, at best, mediocre...
This is why I embrace the idea of a growing group of members (you, Krystal, Robyn...and I don't know how many more!)--who venture off the beaten path--- Pick a member at random and read/review-- or seek out a new member to welcome them and introduce myself...
The BEST benefit I find here is the kindred spirit writers! No matter what, we're all here because we love to write...
Friends are made! Ideas shared! We nurture one another, and we all grow...
That's a Christmas gift I'm happy to unwrap every time I log on!

I see a lot of your pieces receiving the Recognized status and I'm sure you didn't have to mortgage the house to get it. You have such a following that I find it hard to believe you'd have a problem achieving Recognized.
Now I, on the other hand, have not yet managed to accumulate 15, let alone 26, fans, so Recognized is always out of reach.

I did have to read this post several times and I've determined that you have a great sense of humor.
I have also determined that after 24 hours a post is dead meat. No sense in promoting it further, very few reviews will be forthcoming unless you spend a lot of fake money or real fake US currency.
I have also determined or figured out that there are so many 6 star poems that coincidentally are posted on Sunday.
I also figured out, that is the day I might get one review.
I swear it was not this bad before.

Mumble jumble with a scramble, actually is very difficult to understand how pieces are chosen to be in a certain position. Sometimes the reward is not for the quality of your work but for how much money you are offering for the promotion of a piece. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings,
