This poem, Winter Wolverine, shows a neat comparison of the rapid moving in of bad whether and its withdrawal to the lightning incursion of a predator.

The contrast and struggle of blossom yearning to flower and the icy snow of winter lingering is one of the battles in nature that we notice every time Spring tries to reign. You brought the scenes here, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

You did a good job with your poem describing the changing weather in your stomping grounds, Dove. I like the use of rhyme. Your words are well-chosen and create great imagery. The image choice is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing.

Love the comparison of the freak snowstorm to a wolverine. Very creative
As I read I couldn't help thinking that the storms of life attack in the same way. If we can endure the battering, calm and beauty will return. Nature is a great teacher.
Thanks for sharing your expressive verse.
Stay safe healthy and blessed

This poem captures the essence of a late winter storm and the havoc it reeks on the unsuspecting early spring arrivals. The title highlights the tone of the narrative effectively. The chosen image completes a well presented work.

I thought you did a great job with this poem. The rhyme and flow of your poem was excellent. I also liked the visuals of a winter storm in April. Great job.

A poem to remind us of the foibles and many variables that weather can bring especially at this time of year when seasons change significantly from the doldrums of winter to the 'rosy-pink sunrise' of Spring

Your poem gives an excellent description of how nature's calm beauty can be interrupted by nature's storms, followed again by the calm. The wolverine analogy is imaginative and apt.

I live on Cape Cod and we received pounding rain with some snow. It was almost like a winter storm. Love your poem, it captures the feel of the unusual weather and the flowers response to it. I like the description a "winter wolverine". It fits the image of the storm perfectly.
