Congratulations. It starts with a nice picture that blends right into the theme. The writing technique is complex, flowing very well. The rhyming looks great too. Bravo!

Wow! You did a super job with this Lento and you even did four stanzas of this challenging style with rhymes in the beginning and the end! Super job! And yes, we can learn a lot from those "half-crazed shoppers" and are most happy to see them leave our home!

Thank you for this wonderful review. I think ants are fantastic as long as they're outdoors. lol

Same, here! But I remember we had many more ants in Houston. Warmer weather makes them work harder!

Interesting form, and you did great with the rhyming words at the beginning of each line. That does make things interesting! Oh, my goodness! I'm glad we haven't had an ant invasion. When we lived in Texas, we had to have the exterminators in periodically, because the problem there was cockroaches. I love your description of the ants as storming the pantry like half-crazed shoppers. Cleverly done. judi

We get invaded every year. I've had the house sprayed. Thanks, Judi.

Wow, I have learned a new format for poetry, the Lento, Yvonne. It was great. I do so love watching ants when they are outdoors, they do become an interesting study. They are such over-achievers. Very well done, I enjoyed the picture.

Hehehe. Yvonne. I loved it. I could just imagine it. Not an invation you would really like to have. It's a fun poem, with a vivid image. It's a great entry for the club. I really like the form. You have to admire them. Ulla:)))

Yes, I do. They're fascinated as long as they're outside. Thanks, Ulla.

Those ants sure are a busy bunch! They can carry many times over their own body weight. I love the rhythm and the rhyme at the beginning and the end of the sentences. That must be a difficult task to do. God bless!

Ants are indeed amazing inspects. I baked some scones and left them to cool in my kitchen once in Spain. I left the lid loose and put the in my up board. I have next seen an ant in my kitchen before, but when I baked, I had an army turn up. I had to throw the scones away, but I was fascinated as to how organised the ants were in order to secure food. Loving your rhymes here and your fun story, love Dolly x

Thank you. I'm amazed at how they find food so far away from his mounds.

Another form I do not know, but enjoyed immensely from your pen. Ants are fascinating creatures and we humans could learn a thing or three from them. The poem is so well-written and delightful. Great work!

I love your poem that fits the Lento style! Great imagery with the ants hard at work. The "a-huntin' and a-crawlin'" add great flair and repetition to your poem. The simile of half-crazed shoppers was brilliant and flooded my thoughts of Black Friday and how similar that looks to aunts overtaking a picnic. This was a really cute poem that reminded me to enjoy the little things I see in life- literally! :)
