If I can't see the bottom, is there one?4 total reviews

A clever concept explored here. Unknown depths will spark one's imagination, whether they be a few inches deep or a few fathoms. What lies at the bottom is all in the head!

Thank you so much for your encouraging review. I'm glad you understood about what I was referring. So grateful for that. :-) Hugs.

You have used strong alliteration. This is a good metaphor. Some people say, " Calgon, take me away." But the water is clear, nowhere to hide, to escape. I'm a Pisces, we like to hide at the bottom of the pond, so I can relate to the puddle. Great job. I'm voting for this one.

Thank you so much! When you were a kid, did you ever think that a mud puddle could possibly be endless and jumping into it could take you to China? Or Spain? Or the moon? that would be so amazing.

I knew it went deep, especially when the sky reflected in it. We also dug a hole knowing we would reach China. We worried about if we'd be able to talk with them. 3 of us dug for quite a while. We'd gotten down about 4 feet and got tired so that was the end of the project.

Epic! :-)

I like how you took something commonplace, like a mud puddle, and introduced a sense of wonder to it using a child's perspective. The syllable count was correct too. Nice job.

Thank you. It seems that most of my creative thinking happened in my childhood. I'm plum out of stuff that happened recently. :-) I appreciate your comments and review. Hugs.

This sounds a bit dangerous as this puddle has a bottomless pit! But children love to tempt fate with their games, good luck with the 5-7-5 contest, love Dolly x

Thank you for your comments. It's not dangerous at all? It's a magic puddle! Ha ha
