It has been quite a few updates on television, too. They keep us inform which is great. But they can also make us wonder what is going to happen next. The one thing we can do is pray.

I think you have a sane approach to grim news here. It may seem impossible, but making the best of what you have left is far more productive than panic and despair.

Iza, I like this commentary on the new job that Covid has provided us - that of contact tracer! It sounds like a thankless job for sure. My daughter and her family have just received such notification, so now we wait. They got their vaccination the day before they got this news.
One suggestion: "After you bought anything", this wording might work better: After you('ve) bought (everything)

Oh, Iza, that is funny, even though it shouldn't be. We have to see the funny side of this or we'd go mad. It's been a long time being under threat of a bug that can kill. We need a break! Well done my friend, you made me laugh. :)) Sandra xx

I spent the day two weeks ago, yesterday with a teacher who was diagnosed, two weeks ago today. I am showing no symptoms, so I guess I'm okay. I even got my second vaccine after I was exposed. I will be supposedly free Tuesday, it will be two weeks from the vaccination. I just wish we would get back to normal.

I think its a great example of turning to your faith when all else seems dubious. This chapter also captures that feeling of despair you feel when you get a positive test result; all the images of people in the hospital on ventilators goes through your mind. All the images of death on the news media. You can't turn to the pharmacy, they are out of supplies, the shelves are bare. You must fall back on your faith. And you're probably better off. I believe you live on this earth by the grace of God anyway. estory

very topical subject indeed! The world is experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic, causing untold human suffering and death, unravelling of social relationships, and robbing individuals of livelihoods and countries of prosperity. The most important element of pandemic preparedness is a resilient health system to rapidly detect, assess, report, and respond to novel outbreaks. We should not panic at all! I liked your interesting essay. Thanks for sharing!

Ah, your post is finally ready! I waited but it was mysteriously "not ready" last night. Lol.
Your poor friend who has to play such a role. Perhaps she will go into a new career after this experience. I appreciate the call to prayer!
Suggestions:
who finished medicine, (medical school) Maybe it's how you say it in Canadian English, I don't know. But if you finish medicine, you just swallowed a pill in my understanding.
By the way, you have two spellings: Coronela and Coronella.
but when a prayer is said from the heart works wonders (remove 'when')

I never knew that, they were called a "contact tracery but then, that makes sense, and as they say, "someone has to do it" a beautifully written article Iza, good job, blessings Roy
Typo : The (grime) reaper. Grim? 2: the heart works wonder(s)
3: I witness miraculous healing(s)

Clever and spot-on--don't forget to fix the typos!
[Grime=>GRIM] reaper
I have a friend [she=>WHO] finished medicine and [it's=>IS] doing her first year of practicum at a local hospital.
