This is so interesting!
I just LOVE the name Soonire...
it's SO pretty.
My husband has a 'U' in his last name.
I didn't take his name though, I like my own
just fine.
This is a most unique piece!
Blessings...

Hi Judy! You're nice. I was named after my dad's mom, but she took the name from marriage to my grandfather. Grandma was actually pure French Caribbean and Grandfate was born in India. And I like your name. It suits you well, Mrs. Larry. Hahahahaha. Thank you :)

Ha ha...I love your humor.
Your name sounds like a lovely
midnight flower.
God bless....

Sunni, I mean...Soonire-Alicia Seecharan...This is an excellent post and
it brought me a smile. Good for you!
This is so very funny!
"A "u" could happen, eventually, through marriage. I should not seek out a man because he has a "u" in his last name."
Super 5/7/5 offering in this as well,
AnnaLinda

Have a great weekend :)

I love your name and your reflection on it (and you're right - don't marry someone for the 'u' in his name!) But that final haiku/575 is stunning! Definitely six-worthy.

"Names are a blessing
No third person point of view
Permanent markers"
I like your verse, especially the illustration of a name being a permanent marker. Thanks for the information about your name.

This form is similar to a Haibun. I don't have any U's in my name either. What a wonderfully written poem. Best of luck with your writing!
Have a great day, and God bless.

This poem, What's in a Name?, describes and breaks down your name nicely, with emphasis on the vowels used with the exception of U. No Y either -- not even sometimes.
