What a lovely piece. The rhythm and flow musically matches the theme and photo. Loved how you started with such imagery bringing the reader in. Music definitely can transcend the soul and I think it is wonderfully portrayed here.

I really enjoyed this poem. You did a great job of vividly explaining how Jazz soothes you and the rhyme really ties it all together well. I also think the last paragraph, which summarizes the effect was a nice touch. It is a poem with an element of essay in it.

I always loved Stanley Clarke and Chick Correa, along with so many others. The Blues also has some of that healing in its music. What a wonderfully written poem.
