Ciao Marco!
Spider webs are intriguing and mesmerising to observe.
I can see why ....web and net .... are words used to describe the technology behind our computers and other devices .
I think your last line will appeal to many, seeing in general people don't like or sadly are even fearful of spiders ...
its a fact though that only a small percent are poisonous and in normal circumstances spiders don't bite humans.
Nevertheless spiders by most are seen in a negative ,dark way so associating them with Black magic was a crafty choice.

Tempeste,
My allusion to the dark web caught your attention. Others were generous with their remarks, but considered the nature element of my poem instead.

I thought the finally line is supposed to be the core of the poem in this format ..
The nature element is obvious ..but there are several others ..
one actually inspired this
1-6-1 wee poem:
Spies
Spin webs...... clever disguised
Lies
Keep safe !

This three-line poem, Black Art Artistry, presented as a 5-7-5, captures the awe we have for natures engineering which we have borrowed from over centuries.

Bill,
Might these ancient critters been hired also to hack the web? LOL
Thanks, as always, for your review and stars for my short style poetry.

This is a great haiku--should be in the contest. I enjoyed reading it. Your presentations is great. I like the perfect color scheme, the great image, and the words that paint their own picture for readers. Great job with the style of haiku.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Jan,
Thanks for your ?a-one?derful review. No FS money and no current contest to enter the same. I post poems regardless. Contests entered may stoke my ego a bit if I should get to the winning podium. I enjoy the creative part more than earning the FS funny monies. I take no credit for the artwork, but I do try to use FanArt whenever I can.
P.S.. Oops, I forgot, this IS in a contest with a deadline of November!

You conjured up a magical, but deadly web here as the spider lays his trap for unsuspecting insects, a spider has to eat! Much enjoyed Mark, love Dolly x

"Black art artistry', is short, succinct and delightfully descriptive. With a minimum of words this talented poet has told it as it is. It was a pleasure to both read and review this talented poet's work. Good luck with the contest. My fingers are crossed for you!

Thanks D of D!
Pleased you liked this. And I appreciate how you described the impact my poem had on you.
As you know from previous reviews, my genre is this short poem style, typically the 5-7-5 syllable format. Longer verses are just not within my poetry bailiwick.
Mark
Mark,

It was a pleasure to read and review your work.
God bless you, take care and stay safe!

Beguiled, bejeweled, bewitched...a web woven with black diamonds. Perfect accessory for a black widow. Great artwork that can inspire a multitude of interpretations. I enjoyed this one.

Thanks June!
If there was a 2-3-2 poem contest, your b-letter alliteration comment would be a winner. I am always very pleased and satisfied to use FanArt artwork as a companion to my posts.

Yes, there surely is impressive precision in the formation of spider webs, which actually may be pretty--if I just don't think about the creator. Your
5-7-5 is excellent, descriptive and appealing.

What webs we create in life .... The spiders do it best. Besides, they eat lots of pests.

An outstanding entry in the 3 line poetry contest, Mark. I watched a spider gathering up its big web several times at the end of the day. I never saw it being spun because it was always early in the morning before I got up. I think webs are beautiful. I actually caught a small bug once and tossed it into the web and the spider scrambled for it and wrapped it up in silk. Nature is amazing.

Spider webs have always fascinated me because of their intricate designs and the dexterity of the artist who seems able to suspend them from anything, anywhere.
Good use of alliteration in line 1.
I like the allusion to the black arts or black magic.
