Another excellent poem that reads smoothly and has excellent rhymes.
The world is a victim of its inhabitants,
but we do the best we can individually, in these difficult times,
since it appears we cannot unite.
The vaccine, combined with safe practices, is the best way forward.

This is an honest exploration of life as it is these days obviously for you but also for many. Uncertainty is easier for the young to deal with because they have an abundance of time and possibilities. I hope you can thrive as you endure.

This is a poem of sadness as seen this sentence, "There is no easy pathway here, no chance for hope to banish fear."W need hope to survive... especially in a pandemic world.
I like this sentence more, "Though I am weak, I must go on
and pass the weaker ones, now gone." People should be strong to struggle through this dark period.

We, the lucky ones, have so far managed to survive this virus and I hope we all get to outlast it as well.
It still astounds me how an insignificant and unseen pesky little virus can shake the very foundations of the modern world and bring it to heel.
Makes one wonder and wonder!!! But then again, it naturally harder to fight off an unseen enemy...

This virus has hit the world running and just like a deadly plague it has picked off many too quickly. Your poem strikes at the very heart of this as the fears and uncertainties are many. This unknown killer that winks at one and slays the next. The weak will always suffer...both from the virus itself and the fear of encountering it. There is, however, effort and determination deep within the words...to fight, to conquer even if we have to leave many behind.

As do my husband and I. We still wear masks( most places still require them anyway) and we try not to go places that are heavily populated. I can relate to how you feel. Thank you for writing your wonderful poetry that expresses real feelings. :)

This is such a beautifully written poem. It has a great flow and rhyme scheme. Very moving as well. Yes COVID is very concerning. I long for the day when we can live somewhat of a normal life again.
