"Reincarnation" has solved the first issue facing such short fiction, which is, not seeming to be a longer story that got crammed into less words than needed. It feels like this is exactly how many words you needed to tell the story. As for the ideas, they make the mind swim. I don't know if I ever thought this much about reincarnation or transmutation of souls or whatever this is. And I don't even believe in the soul! Well done.
