Straw hats and lots of water too is what is needed on those hot, steamy days. With the colours you've chosen it gives off a feeling of heat before even reading your lovely haiku Yvonne. Nicely done,
cheers,

I dread summer so much! Thanks for reviewing.

In some states like Arizona and Texas, this would resonate. The sizzling sun pushing the temperatures up over the one hundred mark. But, here in Ontario, we love the warmth.

Here in Arkansas it gets pretty hot, too. The humidity is the worst. Thanks for reviewing.

A wonderful summer haiku and so reminiscent of Florida. We've already had temps in the mid-nineties. We are in our straw hats. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the Haiku challenge,

Hi Yvonne, this is a great haiku for the club. I'm yearning for some heat. Please do send some my way. You have two grammatically connected lines, and a great satori. The kigo is clearly that of summer. All best. Ulla:)))

Thank you. I'd be glad to send all the summer your way. I hate summer.

Right! I love late spring, summer and early autumn, but I hate winter. We have mild winters where I live, and often very mild days in the lower seventies. but hitting the fifties and I hate it. Hehe

This was great Yvonne. I loved the picture and your words. They did a fantastic job of implying warmth. Very well done. We could definitely use some warmth around here, we have white stuff yesterday and today. Brrr.

Thank you. I'm never ready for summer. We could chop off that part of the calendar as far as I'm concerned. lol.

LOL, well I will just take summer for you. You are so welcome Yvonne.

A slightly numerous look at what we are all waiting for as the temperature struggles to clime into double figures. I am sick of hearing the meteorologists telling us it is cold - we know that. I want them to do something about it. Lol.

They say this year will be a season of increased hurricanes. I have a feeling it is going to be a long, hot summer. Your poem might reflect what we will all feel in a couple of months! I will enjoy spring for now...

That's summer for you. I love the sun, but we have to be careful of skin cancer...that being said, the sun is glorious and your poem and picture shows that eloquently. Thank you for sharing. :)

This is a great haiku, Yvonne. You handled the prompt and the style well. The picture is perfect. Even without a picture, your words paint their own picture for readers. I need a straw hat with a built in air conditioner. You have the format of haiku perfectly. The color scheme even looks hot to me--bring on Fall ! I love the ~ .
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan
