Ciao mystery poet ,

I had in mind to do something similar but with a twist.

Your entry stands out from the rest.

I once had to put out a notice for a cat we had moved ( with 4 others) from our house in Spain to Italy after the passing of my mother.

It was one of the first times we left him out in the garden .. something scared him and he was gone .

I cried because I knew he was unfamiliar with the neighbourhood and feared he would start wandering in search of his old one in Spain.

I put a notice out within hours ...two days later we found him .. he had the sense to stay close and in passing he meowed to me ..

I think the Lord watched over him.

I will post my entry another time.

I will give you my vote cause I love the theme.

Excellent

I've been so lucky never to have lost a pet this way (running away or having been stolen). Your short poem conveys so much of the emotions the owner(s) feel even years later if the pet is never found. Rod
