Great poem. I guess Father Time grows as weary as we do. You chose your words well, telling a whole year of woes. There is always hope with the new arrival. Well done.

You did a great job capturing the changing of the guard. What a year 2020 was. Unfortunately, I don't feel like this year is off to a very good start, nor do I expect it to get much better. My cynicism is born by years of watching the expansion of an impotent government and the unrestricted power grab that is going on right now. I hope you write the change over next New Years as well, I'd like to see your views. Best wishes.

Your idea is a great one! I think you would benefit from following a pattern of rhyme. You do have some rhyming couplets but then you break your own pattern which leaves a reader confused rather than pleased by the poem. I suggest tell it all in the rhyming couplets since you already have so many of them there. Thanks for sharing.

I liked your personification of time. I wonder is it typical to call the old year "Father Time?" I assumed both the baby year and the old year were both "time." I like how you highlighted the difficult events of 2020, a year we all were happy to see go!
