I really love this poem because I try very hard to live this way. Can be tough at times, due to the way other people act, but I still do not let this deter me. People strive to own so many things, Impress others, and let material objects rule their decisions. If we could all just find it in our hearts to show kindness to others, what a better world we would inhabit! Wonderful poem, and you have written my own feelings exactly!

I sure wish people would act as though we were all part of one family - the human family. Loving kindness can go a long way in creating peace and unity. Unfortunately, many today would rather fight than maintain peace. Their values are obviously not the same as those of us older folks!

The very best we can hope to be is kindness personified, perfection is impossible to attain, but to aspire to it is the best mountain crest we can reach, even if it is unreachable, that song impossible dream reverberates in my mind. Beautifully written sonnet my friend, blessings Roy
