A beautiful short verse that says so much about the great God who created Heaven and Earth by His spoken word. Sending you my best today as always, and my very best wishes for the contest,
Sal :))

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth .
God saw all what he had made and it was very good .
Simply the best.

Thank you Nathan for the kind review.

Creation truly is a wonder! I love your poem describing it and the artwork you selected to accompany it. It's hard to imagine how our world could have been spoken into existence. I read an interesting article yesterday about a few scientists who believe that we were created - but as a computer simulation, and none of this is real, much like the movie "The Matrix."
It will be interesting to learn more about God someday - as it says in the 1 Corinthians, "For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I have been known."
Thank you for sharing!

Hi Susan, thank you for the review and sharing your thoughts on creation. Some day those scientists will know the truth, I hope before it is too late. May the Lord bless you richly.

Interesting entry for the New Arrival Poetry contest. Good syllables count. Your lines are not connected so your poem doesn't flow.
Example of wThe cosmos so vast
Creation by Word alone
A six-day wonderhat I mean....
cosmos is ordered
creation by Word alone--
a six-day wonder

Beautifully done! He created the heavens and the earth within six days then on the seventh day He rested. This seventh day was the Sabbath. To those of us who believe without question know this to be true. And in heaven, one day we will also dwell with ever-lasting life. Thank you for sharing your poem. God bless!

This was a lovely poem, about the creation of our lovely planet in just 6 days, by God's hand. We are just one grain of sand in the vast universe, but what a creative grain we are. Well done, and good luck in the contest! :)) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra, thank you for the review. I am glad you enjoyed it.

Lovely poem. It never ceases to amaze me in some of these contests how we have to get so many ideas and thoughts and feelings into very few words or syllables. You did a very good job with this. Lovely presentation also, with a stunning image.

Ah, right, it took the Lord six days to create the Earth. Cleaver reference you placed in there. What you have here is a perfect blend of science and religion.

Ben, in checking my writings, I noticed that I never thanked you your review of Heaven and Earth. I am truly sorry and I do thank you for your review
Comment from Susan Newell
This three-line poem causes one to pause and really think about the power of all words. "And God spoke" is the beginning of everything. It also reminds me of Jesus' teaching that it matters more what comes out of your mouth than what gos in it.
