This one-hundred-word story, Pura Vida, has the required word count and seems to find the narrator in a funk about not being as spontaneous as the past. We all know where you're coming from.

It says this is fiction so I'm going with that - it's fiction! Yes, gone are the days of just going with a whim. One has to be extra careful as those travel companies are too hungry and probably will not give refunds now. Best wishes in the contest!
