A beautiful prayer and hope for our lives to be better and done with all the COVID restrictions! I so agree: pray to God that soon we all will have our healthy, happy lives back once again. AMEN to that!

A wonderful, very down to earth and well written poem. It is so simple in it's message. It will be nice when things are back to normal, no matter how long it takes. I also love your image, which reminds me of Easter when I was little, back in the early 60s. Very nicely written poem and it made me smile.

Hello Katharine :)
I hope for that too!
I enjoyed reading your rhymed poem. It flows well.
Effective touches of alliteration and well presented.
Best wishes, Debra

Given the day, it is appropriate to live wanting a better reality than the one we currently have. So, yes, why not hope to go back to the way things used to be. Personally, I think this is illusory and that we are on the way to a new normality. I just hope it will be an acceptable to all one.

well, I hope you're wrong about what's going on today becoming normal for some, It certainly won't for me.

Amen. Yes this Easter means the same to us as others but it is being recognized in many different ways. Where normally I would be going to church to attend mass, I will not this year, because of lockdown. So privately I recognize that "Christ Has Risen", as your poem reminds us.

Yes, Church by appointment is what it is here, in many places. My South Carolina sister attended Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services as Easter was booked up, a shame.
Happy Easter,

Things have certainly changed for us since the onset of the virus, including
limits on how many can attend a church service. I have even heard some speculation that these restrictions may continue until 2022. I hope not. We'll be able to rise above this present crisis. If it's a lesson to us, I think the message has been received. This won't keep us down. Excellent entry for the contest. Happy Easter to you. judi

thanks, Judi. Yes, I think even Dems are getting tired of being told what to do. I wonder how often members of large churches get to go if every member of the congregation is used to attending each week?
And no ID required to vote when (almost) everything else does. We must stand firm and fight back the best we can.
thanks for the Easter wishes. We did have a lovely day outside - it's been a glorious day.
-
You're very welcome. We have to have ID where I live in order to get a library card. I'm glad we're getting some warm weather now. judi
-
you/we have to have an ID for everything - which is NOT racist!
Disgusting.
Glad your weather is warming up. Ours is beautiful - except our oaks are dropping green pollen and squigglies all over everywhere and everybody's sneezing.
-
I don't think it's too much to ask that people provide ID for voting. It's just a ploy to gain control. judi
-
right you are!

Amen, and may we always put the Lord's Kingdom above all nations and patriotism. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! May He cause a spiritual revival of Love and Peace in His Name!

that's a tall order, especially considering the fact that the liberals are the ones taking HIM out of the schools and the Pledge of allegiance, mandating how many people can go to church, if indeed their church is open. Patriots are, and will be the ones to get our freedoms back - including letting God back in schools. Patriots take action. God helps those who help themselves. I pray to GOD and praise Him, but my family and nation come first. Before peace and love is revived, we must regain our rights and freedoms as American citizens.
Comment from Jennifer L Newcomb
I believe many would like to see us overcome and conquer the battles of this present age. I pray without ceasing that we get to have another 1000 years of grace and more grace. If the heart was examined with truth and blinders off, then one would only be able to say "Thank you". We are as a nation, family and individuals know what is deserving when compared to what has been given. Stay Blessed and may your Easter celebration be a joyful one!

Thank you for this encouraging message for Easter. It's easy to be overwhelmed by all the bad news these days. More than ever we need the hope that Easter brings. I'm encouraged by all the Christians on this site. Thank you for speaking up in a very creative way. Gold bless and keep you.

I enjoyed your poem, Pome Lover. You did a good job with its theme, the rhymes, and the great message. I like how you used the word patriots, and I believe you are right that with prayers we will have a normal life again soon. You have a Blessed Easter.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan
