With the artwork and the poem it seems like the speaker has lived through many dangerous stunts. Faith kept him/her strong through it all.

Excellent

Feeling is the most difficult part in human life. Life has ups and downs... Getting sick is terrible... Losing a loved one is even worse. All these dark ages need love and time to heal.

Only oneself can heal, no one can really help. They may be able to offer some comfort. That's about as good as it goes.

Even ageing bodies heal well if they take in the right fuel. Plenty of exercise and greens and little or no alcohol is the recipe for long life. And of course faithful hope to soothe the mind, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

I was thinking about the word spirit also I used Spirit's challenged as many people including myself faced additional addictions besides the Alcohol type.
If that makes more sense I probably should include the reason in the notes?
