Hello Pome Lover :)
I enjoyed reading the prologue for your NaPoWriMo poetry challenge book! It's in perfect rhyme and meter and I love the presentation too.
I'm sure you haven't 'cooked your goose!' and I look forward to reading you each day throughout the challenge.
Best wishes, Debra

Debra, bless you! You have certainly raised my spirits! I plan to forge ahead because I believe most Americans love this country and weep for it today. Thank you for your very kind words!

Good for you, and you tell 'em. I agree that there's a lot going on in the U.S. that is so wrong. I believe our leaders would have us wear masks forever. Thankfully the governor of our great state of Indiana has made mask wearing optional. I can breathe again! I'm glad you decided to enter the contest. I tried it one year and coming up with a poem a day was a stretch for me, especially since I like to write other things, too. You'll certainly have a lot to write about in the days ahead. Good luck to you. judi

Our gov has, too, and the media never ceases to criticize him for it. And our border! It is not only disgraceful but criminal what is going on, and now San Antonio will be housing them in our Colosseum and hotels - isn't that grand!
Thanks, Judi for your very nice and encouraging comments! I'm wondering if I can come up with a poem a day - that's worth a hoot.
    But, it'll be fun trying.
    Thanks again!

You're welcome. I know it's disgraceful what the government is doing about the border situation. They seem to be favoring the migrants over American citizens. Shameful. Good luck in the competition. I'm sure you'll do fine. judi

Susan, you have made my day! Thank you!
I was kind of dreading seeing the comments I got. Yours is the first one I've opened and it is a most pleasant surprise! There is more to come as I am one angry, heartsick American.
Thank you for your support! and for the lovely 6!!

I am weeping inside as I watch ignorance lead to the suicide of a nation. And the more hatred they spew, the more they show just who is their spiritual "father."

me, too. I have friends who are so upset they've quit watching the "news."

Count me in on that. I watch just a tad, but not for long.

I love everything you touch on in this poem. It is so down to earth with its truthfulness. There are so many trepidations about what we should and shouldn't write about because free speech isn't as free as it used to be.
And yet, the things we think and feel are the most important things that anyone would want to know in order to have good communication.
The rhyming is also very good.

Thank you so much, Ralf! I will probably get some flack for this "book" but you have given me encouragement which I truly appreciate.

Cute poem that chases away the doldrums. We writers have an outlet, because when writing we travel in words wherever our imaginations takes us. It becomes all consumming and before we realize it the day is gone. I agree a whimsical poem a day keeps the doldrums away. You did a great job. This was a fun read.

Thank you so much. I'm surprised that it was thought whimsical as it is rather political and will continue to get more so. I hope I won't lose you. It won't be all political - though what's going on is foremost in my mind. There will be (hopefully) some humor, also.
I appreciate your very nice comments.
