A well crafted poem. The author has stated their case and driven the point to the end.
It's basically a political poem, with perhaps a limited audience. For that audience it would work well.

So true, as Christians we are citizens of heaven, and ambassadors for Christ on earth. We should never get so involved in politics that we forget the great commission, to preach the Gospel to every creature and to make disciples for Christ. Well done.

Patriotism is not a religion--How true! Your poem is excellent in wording and messages. How miserably the human race has failed to follow God's urging to love one another. Nevetheless, the prize is in sight, as you so movingly convey.

You are right. People are putting country before God is actually damaging the country. Yes, man's rule has brought us trouble. If we put God first, that might lead to better behavior between nations and less hatred. People are putting things like the environment ahead of religion. Excellent AABB rhyme. In the last stanza, punctuation is needed between yours and it. A semicolon would work, as you have two sentences run together. judi

Those who oppose him will feel the pain.
Man's rule has brought trouble beyond measure.
